The UCLA Bruin Alert system communicates official information during an emergency crisis situation that disrupts normal operation of the UCLA campus or threatens the health or safety of members of the campus community.
Sign Up and Update Information
In order to make Bruin Alert as effective as possible, short message service (SMS) text messaging is available to UCLA faculty, staff and students on a voluntary self-subscription basis. It is important for members of the UCLA community to take an active part in BruinAlert by ensuring contact information is up-to-date and signing up for text messaging.
Students
Students with valid email addresses in MyUCLA are automatically enrolled to receive BruinAlert notifications via e-mail.

Faculty & Staff
UCLA faculty, staff with valid email addresses in the campus directory are automatically enrolled to receive Bruin Alert notifications via e-mail.
To sign up for text message notification, visit BruinAlert.
Contact your department's directory updater to change the email on file.
 
BruinAlertTM will not be used for issuing routine advisories.
