Mednet account holders have available a new secure file transfer service that is HIPAA compliant, and so is suitable for patient-related data. The secure file fransfer service is called Transfer.Mednet, and is free to the DGSOM and UCLA Health community.
What can I do with Transfer.Mednet?
This web-based service allows you to:
·          Send and receive files securely with anyone in the world.*
·          Easily exchange large files up to 2 gigabytes.
How do I use Transfer.Mednet?
·          UCLA Health affiliates:
Log in with your Mednet AD credentials.
·          Users without a email address:
Click on “Need help signing in?” and enter your email address to receive login credentials
and instructions. (If you received a link to view files, please make sure to enter the same email address.)
Why should I use Transfer.Mednet?
This Secure File Transfer service is HIPAA compliant, and allows you to share files securely and easily,
free of charge.
Please note that while this service is HIPAA compliant, it does not allow you to share data without permission, i.e., if IRB approval is required to share data, you must still attain that approval before using the Secure File Transfer service.
