End of Grant / Grant Closeout

PI needs to notify C&G Specialist on whether she/he will want to end the grant or to ask for a no-cost time extension

• Must make this decision (especially if PI wants a no-cost time extension) at least 3 months before end of grant
• Work with C&G Specialist to determine final balance/financial status of grant
• If planning on no-cost time extension, is there enough funds or what changes must be made to personnel/staff effort, etc.

If requesting no-cost time extension (usually up to a year), must explain reason for request, give report of current grant progress report (number of subjects, findings, publications, etc.) If ending grant/grant closeout, must provide summary of grant findings, publications, financial report, etc.
